On today’s show we listen to recordings from the 1930s through to the 1960s. We are joined by big bands led by Count Basie and Glenn Miller, as well as by Artie Shaw with his innovative recording of the classic “St James Infirmary Blues”. Our small groups today include ones led by Teddy Wilson, with a vocal by Lena Lorne, by Adrian Rollini with friends from 1937 and by Stephane Grappelly with pianist George Shearing and singer Beryl Davis. Enjoy these and more wonderful artists!!
