Today we’ll be listening to recordings by one of the finest vocalists from our time period, Helen Forrest. She is remembered particularly for the warmth of her voice, for her interpretative skills and for her talent in matching lyrics to the music of the big bands during the Swing Era and beyond. She started out her career during the swing era, and sang with several of the finest big bands that flourished then, and went on to have a very successful solo career.
