Today we’ll be marking the birthday of one of the most popular singers in the music field, Frank Sinatra, and celebrating in song his immense contribution to jazz and popular music. He was born on December 12, 1915 and dis career spanned six decades, beginning in the 1930s and lasting into the 90s. Over his career he maintained his appeal through all kinds of trends in popular music with a voice and style that was particularly noted for its intimacy and interpretative skill that proved impossible to resist. Perhaps what he is known for best is his unique talent for phrasing and interpretation and his ability to perform songs in a way that made them, quite literally, perennial.
