We celebrate the holiday season in today’s show, with songs about Christmas and about the winter weather. Listen to winter holiday classics like “Winter Wonderland” from Buddy Clark, “Sleigh Ride”, performed by its composer Leroy Anderson, and a fun version of “Jingle Bells” from the irrepressible Fats Waller! Mel Torme joins us with his composition the Christmas Song, and Frank Sinatra brings us “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. And of course we hear from Bing with his medley of Christmas carols, as well as a duet with Ella Fitzgerald in their 1952 recording of “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer”. And to cap the show, what else but Bing and “White Christmas”. Very best wishes for a happy holiday season and a merry Christmas!
