On our show today we listen to recordings made between 1930 and 1955. We hear the delightful voices of Dean Martin and Rosemary Clooney along with the lovely tones of Sarah Vaughan and Sammy Davis Jr. In the lineup are several small jazz groups, and we celebrate today the art of George Wettling, one of the greatest drummers of his time, in three recordings from the 1940s, “Some Of These Days”, “Body & Soul” and “Rosetta”. And we begin and end with two excellent big bands, the Bob Crosby orchestra and the Count Basie. Orchestra. Enjoy some delightful jazz!
