Today’s show features small jazz groups from the 1920s to the 1950s. Made up of some of the greatest of the jazz musicians of the time, recordings by these groups are a tiny selection of a huge treasury of jazz as it was developing over the period. We hear a variety of interpretations of the jazz standards of the day from our players, as well as a special feature on three of the great trumpets of the time: Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker and Jonah Jones. Enjoy some lively music!!
